Care Guide

How to wash, dry and repair the fabrics we sell so they last more than one season.

Almost everything here survives a cold wash and a low tumble. The exceptions are anything with stretch — heat breaks the elastane — and anything printed, which lasts longer turned inside out.

  • Cotton tees and fleece — machine wash cold, tumble low, turn printed styles inside out.
  • Denim — wash inside out, cold, and as rarely as you can stand; hang to dry to keep the shape.
  • Activewear — cold wash, no fabric softener (it traps odour), hang to dry.
  • Knit sweaters — cold wash, dry flat, never hang while wet.
  • Pajamas — wash warm if you want them fully sanitised; the snug-fit styles are treated and must not be washed in hot water repeatedly.

Repairs

Buttons, seams and hems can be fixed. Send us a photo and we will either do it or tell you who can do it near you. Re-hemming denim is almost always worth it.

Storage

Fold knitwear rather than hanging it — hangers pull the shoulder out of shape. Store wool with cedar or lavender, and let each piece breathe a day between wears.
